Rough Night for Piedmont Triad 4-A Basketball Teams

Of the eight teams from the Piedmont Triad 4-A Conference that made the NCHSAA State Basketball playoffs, four girls teams and four boys teams, only one remains alive in their quest to win a state championship.

The lone survivor is the Southwest Guilford Cowboys. SW defeated Greensboro Grimsley on Monday night 88-70 to advance to the second round, and a date with the Reagan Raiders of the Central Piedmont Conference on Wednesday night, February 27th. Reagan upended the Vikings of NW Guilford on Monday night, 79-64, to secure their spot in the next round.
