Winston Salem Prep Defeats North Forsyth, Will Meet Mt. Tabor in Championship Game

The Winston Salem Prep Phoenix sent North Forsyth into the third place consolation game with a convincing 65-47 win in Thursday night’s final semi-final game in the Frank Spencer Classic at the Lawrence Joel Coliseum.

The win sets up a #1 and #2 seed in the title game of the Champion Bracket, as the Phoenix, #2, will battle the Spartans ,#1, of Mt. Tabor at 8:45pm on Friday night.

Prep was led by Mike Hughes with a game high 19 points.  Raekwon Harney poured in 15 points as the only other Phoenix player in double figures.

Kedrick Flomo had 16 points to lead the Vikings of North Forsyth.

North Forsyth will play Reagan for third place in a 4:30 pm tip off at Mt. Tabor High School on Friday afternoon.
