The First Assembly Christian School boys basketball team solidified their first place standing in the CCISSA Conference on Tuesday night with a big home win over St. John’s Lutheran School, 46-29.
St. John’s came into the game with only one loss, that being a one point loss to FACS earlier in the season. FACS head coach Joey McKinney had his team ready to face the Falcons. “This was a big win for us, it keeps us undefeated in conference play with a chance to get a #1 seed in the post season tournament in February,” said Coach McKinney. “The first time we played this team we blew an 18 point lead and escaped with a one point win on a last second shot,” he added.
Jackson Bryant led the Champions with 13 points and Adam Warren hauled in 13 rebounds. FACS playmaker Tre Dennis had another outstanding performance taking the ball down the lane for easy layups. Robert Williard stepped up tonight and contributed 8 points for the victorious Champions, as well as playing a great game on defense.
